The index reads a short fixed list of tokens per chain. It is declared in the service config and is the same list the API returns under tokens[] from List chains. A test script calls decimals() on each EVM contract and compares the result with the list.
The list holds stablecoins and major wrapped assets. It is short on purpose: each token adds to the size of every log call, and public RPC providers limit those calls.
Symbols repeat. USDC on Ethereum and USDC on Base are different contracts, and the token filter on /transfers matches on the symbol alone.

In Beamline, use token_address to pin one contract:
There is no self-service way to add a token. Write to contact@farbeamlabs.com with the chain, the address and the reason. Each addition adds load on the log calls, so the list will stay short. Listing here is not a recommendation of any token, and Farbeam makes no statement on the quality of the assets on this list. The token report reads the same public checks for curated and other tokens.
