FAQ

#Does Farbeam tell me what to buy or sell?

No. Farbeam reports on-chain data. It gives no calls, ratings or price targets. Nothing here is financial advice. See the disclaimer.

#Is the API free?

Yes. Nothing can be bought today. Paid plans are Planned, and there is no billing system. Limits are 30 units per minute with no key, and 120 units per minute and 20,000 per UTC day for each free key.

#Do I need to sign in?

Not to read data. To create a key or a rule, sign in with a Solana wallet. There is no email or password, and signing sends no transaction. See authentication. EVM wallet sign-in is Planned.

#I lost my API key. Can you recover it?

No. Only a SHA-256 hash is stored, so nobody can read the key back. Sign in, revoke the old key with DELETE /keys/{id}, and create a new one. Rules stay with the account, so they keep running.

#Which chains are covered?

Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon and Solana. Coverage differs. See chain coverage. Testnets are Planned.

#Does Farbeam show every large transfer?

No. Only curated tokens at $100,000 or more are stored. Native transfers are indexed only on Ethereum, from the latest block of each poll. Solana reads one finalized block every 30 seconds and part of the activity of 7 exchange wallets. Optimism and Polygon have no index.

#Why is a transaction I know about missing?

The common reasons are: the token is not curated, the value is under $100,000, the chain has no index, the row is older than 7 days, or the price was not available at read time. Use Transaction lookup to read it directly.

#How fresh is the data?

It depends on the poll interval and the source cache. Read freshness and the meta of each response. No latency is promised.

#Why does a USD value differ from another site?

Farbeam multiplies the amount by a cached CoinGecko price when it stores the row. It does not revalue rows later. See USD valuation.

#How long is data kept?

Transfers are kept for 7 days, and status samples for 30 days. Webhook deliveries are kept for 14 days. A historical archive and data exports are Planned. Save what you need yourself.

#Can Farbeam tell me who owns a wallet?

Only for about 54 hand-curated public addresses. Wallet clustering and a full attribution graph are Planned. A missing label says nothing about the owner. See labels.

#Is a token safe if its report shows no failures?

The report cannot show that. It lists what the sources returned. unknown is never a pass, and sources can be wrong. There is no composite score. See reading token reports.

#Can I get alerts by email or Telegram?

Not today. Email and Telegram delivery are Planned. The API has Telegram paths, and they answer 503 until the bot is connected. You can receive JSON webhooks or post to a Discord webhook. See Discord delivery.

#Why did my rule stop firing?

Check enabled and consecutive_failures on Get a rule. After 20 failed deliveries in a row, a rule turns off. Also read last_fired_at. After a rule fires, it ignores matches for cooldown_seconds, which is 300 by default. Also check the delivery log, and check that the rule still matches using Validate a rule.

#Why did my webhook arrive twice?

Retries can repeat an event if your server timed out after doing the work. Deduplicate on rule_id and data.uid. See webhook retries.

#Are there official SDKs?

Not yet. Official SDK packages are Planned. The SDK guides show small clients you can copy.

#Is there GraphQL or WebSocket support?

No. Both are Planned. The API is REST, and the live stream uses SSE.

#Is there an SLA or uptime guarantee?

No. An SLA is Planned. Measured history is on the status page, and you can monitor it yourself with this recipe.

#Does Farbeam log my requests?

The app writes no request logs. Rate limits hold a hash of your IP in memory only. If you sign in, your wallet address is stored with your account. See privacy and data.

#Can I use the data in my own product?

Yes, within the acceptable use page. Credit is welcome and not required. Pass the limits of the data on to your users.

#How do I report a wrong label or a bug?

Send an email to contact@farbeamlabs.com or use the contact page. Include the address or the request_id. You can also reach @FarbeamX on X.
